Sabritas, one of Mexico's most iconic brands, sought a way to connect with its audience on a deeper level, and for that, it faced a significant storytelling challenge. The task was to go beyond its reputation and tell an authentic story that would reveal the "secret" behind the quality of its potatoes. A documentary-style audiovisual piece was needed to show that the value of its product lies not only in the ingredients but in the dedication and pride of the hands and communities that make each harvest possible.
This challenge translated into an equally complex production mission. For the message to be credible, the filming had to be real and genuine. The mission was to travel to the north of the country to document the potato's process and capture the soul of the people who work the land, their testimonies, and their stories. The challenge was to make the human element, an intangible component like "the people," feel as important as the final product itself, proving that quality is a reflection of this invisible "fourth ingredient."
Under the direction of Memo Matthews and with the Adrenorama team, we approached this project as a journey to the heart of the brand. We set out to document the potato's process from planting to packaging, traveling to the north of the country to interview farmers, agronomists, and engineers. Memo Matthews' vision was to capture the dedication and pride of these people, using an honest narrative tone and cinematic visuals that would honor their work and the land, proving that "the fourth ingredient" is, in fact, the people.
The result is a short documentary that completely transforms the brand's perception. The video not only educates the public about the process but also builds an emotional bond by giving a human face to the production. The project powerfully demonstrates that Sabritas' quality is a reflection of its commitment to the community, and that authentic storytelling is the most effective tool for strengthening brand trust.
