The production of the film Bayoneta, directed by Kyzza Terrazas and with cinematography by Guillermo Garza, was a dramatic challenge: to bring the raw story of a boxer to life. The challenge was not only technical but emotional. The production had to create a world that felt authentic and visceral, from the harsh, snowy landscapes of Finland to the darkness and intimacy of a boxing ring, so the audience could feel the protagonist's struggle.
This project was my entry point into the world of film, an experience made possible by the trust of María José Córdova (Producer) and Karla Badillo (2nd AD). As the Assistant to the Prop Master, my job was to ensure that every object on set was in its place, ready to tell its own part of the story. It was an invaluable learning experience, where I witnessed firsthand the discipline and art required for a cinematic production.
The result is a powerful cinematic drama that does justice to its story. The mastery of the director and cinematographer is complemented by the attention to detail on every set. For me, the Bayoneta project was not just a film, but the beginning of a passion and a professional path. It is a testament to the value of teamwork and how the support of great people can give you the opportunity to find your place in the world of production.
